Construction crew is in the final stages of installing the city's new water main. They will be moving services lines over to the new main. During this time customers will experience service outages lasting up to an hour. The US Environmental Protection Agency has determined that any lead in drinking water is dangerous to human health. Lead water lines or galvanized water lines connected to lead connectors were used for much of the first half of the twentieth century. Many of those lines are still in use.
